Love Is Supreme

• Anxiety hampers the course of growth
• We are worried about failure and we are worried about how to handle success.
• Planning creates anxiety; every anxiety simply means you are not confident. You don't have trust in nature but a devotee or lover doesn't have this problem; he knows that he belongs to divine and divine will take care of him. This is beauty of divine love which takes anxiety away.
• Anxiety kills us and is worse than death. What are you anxious about?
• Three main types of worries:
• Worries about money
• Worries about enlightenment or progress in life
• Worries about your prestige or fame (who has time to think about you…:))
• Anxiety is contrary to love, surrender and therefore hampers the growth.
• Nature/existence is already feeding us and is taking care of us; don't be anxious, don't be worried
• We all are children of a very rich person who has everything to meet our needs in the best possible way so don't worry; don't beg on streets.
• Sometimes we might have 'small' loses but that is to gain something bigger.
• Realize that every tough time has made us stronger, deeper and more knowledgeable.
• When some loss happens in world, don’t worry. You offer everything to divine and divine will take care of us.
• We lose half of our life to gain wealth and rest half to gain back the health..what an irony…:)
• Righteousness about faith and being in love that we hold, uplifts us.
• When love matures in you, you have to just think and things will start manifesting. But before you get that 'credit card' keep working (in your job) without being anxious. Till you become so centered, keep working. It might takes some time, but till that time don't shun your day today responsibilities, your day today things. Don't be anxious. 'Oh, when will I get this..' this anxiety itself can be hindrance to the process. When 'time' will come, you will get it.
• Anxiety kills love, love destroys all negative; so better we take the side of love…:)
• When we offer, worries don't touch us; they just move like passing clouds.
• But how to do it: don’t be obsessed with the feeling of sex, money, glory and stories of atheist and stories of enemy
• By thinking about sex all the time, people look older than what they are, brain is lost, thinking is lost. Similarly thinking too much about money spoils our brain and stops us from doing what actually will bring us the money. Keep money in wallet or in bank not in the mind..:)
• Thinking about money all the time creates dullness and inertia around you.
• Money is not bad, money is sacred but thinking about money all the time doesn't make you sacred, it makes you dull. But understand that money is means and not the end of life.
• Have faith that whatever is needed and whenever it is needed it will come to you.
• Don’t discuss about people who don’t believe in God (those who are 'Nastika'). Because when you keep listening to the glory of a 'non believer', your own mind starts playing games, you faith might start shaking. He might be a believer from within or his glory might just be short lived. Therefore don’t listen to the glory of non believers this might shake your own faith. Similarly don’t listen to the glory/progress of your enemies.
• Don’t believe all that is visible or the way things are appearing.
• If we take interest in the stories of our enemy our energy goes down and we destroy the love.
• Don't encourage any discussion/story about
• Sex
• Money
• Atheist
• Enemy
• The two main means to start the scandals are: sex and money.
• 'Arrogance' and 'showoff' are another two hindrances in the way of growth. There is nothing wrong in having wealth but taking pride in that destroys the subtle feeling of love, the thing we are. Don't take pride. Nothing here belongs to you, you are just a custodian.
• Aggression inhibits/destroys love, submission, generosity and service awakens the love.

Narada Bhakti Sutras - Day 9

Attaining Divine Love

• We project what we are from within.
• Like people form a group.
• What you feel is what you project outside…what you see, speak, think.
• Observe yourself, your thoughts. This will help shun negative things.
• Every phenomenon in this universe is an expression of love. Even hatred.
• See good intention behind every mistake. This will help you feel compassionate. The mistake doesn't stand when intention is right.
• There are three types of love: SATVIK (doesn't want anything in return), RAJSIC (feverishness and looking for something in return) and TAMSIK (love for destruction).
• Love that creates hatred or misery for you or for others is TAMSIK love.
• Love that brings great excitement and great depression is RAJSIC love. It brings feverishness and you are not able to contain the joy in this love. Short term joy and long term misery.
• Love that creates harmony, peace, a sense of belongingness is SATVIK love. The love that is unconditional.
• The goal of knowledge is to attain love.
• Four type of people who look for/ desire love
• People who are miserable, and want relief and hence are seeking love
• Seeking wealth
• Seeking some meaning or knowledge
• Who are knowledgeable and wise
• Knowledgeable is better than who are seeking love, who then are better than who are greedy and are seeking wealth and these are better than the miserable (because greedy will at least listen to you (you can at least motivate greedy people)whereas miserable one won't even listen to you.)
• Complex and simpler: life is complex and to understand it is even more complex. Sutra connects the inner abstract love to what we feel is the concrete existence (outer).

Love Needs No Proof

• There are two aspects in life
• To learn
• To like
• To learn we require time and effort but to like we don't require any of these. Be it music, food or anything else. One requires effort the other doesn't.
• To get knowledge you might require some effort.
• Love requires no time. An action requires more time than knowing or loving.
• What appears to be easy might not be easy. Note that, it is easy to accept people as they are because it brings comfort to you. Everyone likes to be comfort. So choose what is easy. Do whichever is the easiest… :)
• Life requires both: to learn as well as to love. And learning becomes easier if you love something. And without love, learning becoming difficult.
• To love something is the easiest things.
• The mind goes where the love is. So if you love divine you need not to do any effort to keep your mind on divine. Pray will automatically happen.
• Make the divine your valentine; mind will go to it, without efforts. Pray will happen automatically.
• The fact that you are thirsty or hungry is enough in self to know that. You don't require effort to know that.
• Love in itself is a proof. So where ever there is love, it is self evident.
• Feeling and experiencing needs no proof. Love needs no proof.
• One can hide hatred to some extent but you cannot hide love.
• Love spreads the peace, serenity and the bliss.
• Love is not just an emotion. It is your very existence.
• There is nothing wrong in being emotional but the higher form is what brings peace and contentment.
• Don't depend on the outer expressions of love. You have to experience love with heart not through emotions, eyes any other senses.

Narada Bhakti Sutras - Day 8

Love cannot be expressed

• Love cannot be described or defined, cannot be expressed in words.
• Every attempt to define or describe love has failed and that is good because if it doesn't fail it is not love.
• A million words can't express what a glance can convey and a million glances cannot convey what a moment of silence can convey. But love is even beyond that moment of silence.
• Like a dump person who cannot say; one who stays in love, cannot express it. You cannot express it you can just find an expression/ a slight glance of it.
• Every single creator on this planet has love present in it. In fact love is present in every particle of this planet.
• Every vessel has same light but the light shines through transparent one only. Stress stops us from being transparent.
• Don't underestimate even a criminal; you don't know when the saint in him may awaken, when he becomes transparent.
• You get credit for honoring someone when he/she is not worth of it because honoring a wise/worthy person is no big deal.
• There are three types of love: satvik (doesn't want anything in return), rajsik (feverishness and looking for something in return) and tamsik (love for destruction) and divine love is beyond all these types.
• Divine love:
• is beyond attributes. Even for a crazy kid his mother's love will be so much.
• grows with time, it increases with every moment.
• doesn't break (beyond breakups).
• is so subtle (that cannot be expressed just can be experienced).
• without loopholes or flaws in it.
• is unconditional; so unconditional that it doesn't depend on behavior or attributes.
• Mediation is immersing in your nature which is love, so how can it be boring. If it is boring, redefine your definition of 'boredom'.
• There is a common thread in love and boredom…repetition. As in 'japa' repetition can lead to love.
• Boredom is lacking of juice and love is juice of life.
• Love is the juice of life and you are that.
• 'I love because….' is a problem and not a pure love. It is just business.
• If anybody can understand you, you haven't lived a deep life; you are living a shallow life. And shallow life is full of complaints.
• You are a mystery which cannot be understood just can be lived with.

Narada Bhakti Sutras - Day 7

Crossing the ocean of misery

• Human mind cannot contain either joy or misery, cannot just hold and remain
• Good company: you sit and talk you are lightened as if there is no problem
• Bad company cannot let love blossom in the heart
• Narada says: we all should shun bad company
• People are not bad, only moods are bad; need not to stay away from bad people just don’t shake hands with their state of mind
• Bad company brings in desires, anger, delusion, greed, intellect loses its reason/logic and mind gets agitated; the more you go into bad company the more stronger (like storm in sea) it becomes
• Company creates competition where as compassion creates cooperation
• Divine company is tough to get because there are very few who take the courage to refute the negativity
• One who stays in his own company should not face any problem; we all are bombarded with lot of people and thoughts around us and to save our self from pains we need to move away/beyond this, back to the source
• Everything that can be measured is Maya; measurements and judgments are illusions
• Relative identity that we give with judgment has no absolute identity
• 'What about me' and 'what will happen to me' are the mantras to get depressed
• Freedom comes when you don’t crave for pleasure and when you don't care/crave for freedom, divine dawns (craving for pleasure shows lack knowledge)
• Those who serve the saints get the freedom but what if opportunity saints are not available then do following things: go to secluded place, drop all the concerns/threads/bondages; drop whatever you want - you want what you don’t have or to maintain what you have; drop the fruit of the action; whatever you do, do being centered
• Whatever you have acted don't regret or get excited
• Worry of the action creates anxiety before the action and regret after the action; holding on to the fruit of action brings above two things; and doing the things being in center
• One who drops all the knowledge, lives in pure ecstasy.
• You laugh when you go beyond intellect.
• If you cannot love, be crazy because when you are crazy your ego dissolves.
• Satguru: Diminishing of sorrow, happiness for no reason - upliftment in happiness, protection of knowledge, sense of abundance/prosperity, all round blossom of personality and talents
• Children are satguru as you can learn everything that a satguru will help you gain.
• Your identity is based on the association with the people around you.
